	His Most Gracious Majesty William IV under whose suspicious sanction the Reform Bill Became Law June 7th 1832 and the First Reform’d parliament assembled February 5th 1833. 	This Plate Presented by the Overseers to Commemorate the Important Cause of Burrell Bart agst Nicholson. Tried before Sir Thomas Denman, Knt & a Special Jury, in the Court of Kings Bench, at Westminster Hall, on the 9th December 1833, to decide the long contested right of these Parishes to rate the Inhabitants of Richmond Terrace, & Whitehall, as Parcel of the Parish of St Margaret, to the Parochial burthens, when after a Trial of 14 hours, the Jury returned a Verdict in favour of the Parishes. 	The New Westminster Hospital Opened on the 14th day of November, 1834.
	An Act of Parliament Passed entitled a Bill for the Amendment and better administration of the Laws relating to the Poor of England and Wales.
	The Musical Festival, celebrated in Westminster Abbey, and the four Performances honoured with the presence of Their majesties.

The Inhabitants of privy Gardens & Whitehall conceded their liability as Parishioners. The Rate for Relief of the Poor cleansing the Streets and repair of the Highways (including the Police and County Rate) for the Year reduced to Five & Sixpence in the Pound. By Local Act 5 Wm 4 C 18. The Statutes for Paving the City of Westminster repealed and the paving of these Parishes placed under the control of Commissioners nominated by the Vestries. An Act passed September 1835 for regulating Municipal Corporations in England and Wales.
